To send to our mailing list, please make sure you follow these guidelines: - Use the e-mail address that you used when you subscribed. All other addresses will bounce.
- Keep messages on topic: subjects about Linux and Open Source are of interest to our users.
- Try
to trim out the quoted sections which do not apply. Quoting relevant
sections is OK. It's good Netiquette to add your text after the
relevant quoted portion.
- "Praise in public; criticize in private." Factual errors are OK to correct but please be polite.
- Search the site before posting a question to see if it's been already answered.

- If you are sending a new message to the list, compose a new
message and send it. Don't be lazy and just hit reply on an unrelated
message and change the subject for your new message. This causes
problems for people using real email clients and our archives that
display messages in threaded views.
- No HTML. We appreciate your help in keeping our bandwidth down.
- No cross-posting. It's just annoying.
- No attachments. They're bad.
- No abusive posts on its mailing lists. We like you. Be nice.
